My name is Lisa - the founder of Eat Sustainably. Sustainable cooking can be simple, but some lose track in the many options. Stay with me, I will figure it out for you so you can simply enjoy your meal!
My mission is to make sustainable cooking available to everyone, using delicious recipes and giving insight into your food's production and preparation.
This is my story.
My love for cooking started when I lived in Nelson - New Zealand. I worked in a hostel and together with the guests, we cooked all types of national food dishes. To me, cooking is a way to bring people together and bond over a delicious meal.
My mum is a dietician and her veggies have taught me about food and health, but it wasn’t until my studies in environmental science that I realized the impact of our food systems on the planet.
Through Eat Sustainably, I aim to debunk the idea that sustainable eating is daunting or only for people with a vegetable garden 🌱. I will show you the nuances, that sustainable food can be easy, affordable and healthy. My goal is for you to make your own informed decisions. Because everyone can eat sustainably in their own way!
